Journal 02 - Nothing is Sacred, Except Nothingness

Thursday, 31st July, 2025.

Jai Shree Krishna!

A letter from me to you — for the days when even breathing feels like effort

Hi love,

Let’s not pretend — some days feel like a brick on your chest. You wake up already

tired. Not because you ran a marathon in your sleep, but because your mind has

been running for weeks.

And still, someone will say:

“Why are you always so tired?”

“You’re just being lazy.”

“Must be nice to have so much free time.”

And you want to scream —

If only you knew what it’s like to live in this head.

But instead, you smile, nod, and carry that invisible weight like it’s your duty.

Because for some reason, we — especially women — have been taught that rest must

be earned.

That stillness must be justified.

That nothingness is suspicious.

Well… I call bullsh*t.

Let me say it louder — You do not owe anyone an explanation for your rest.

Your worth is not measured in crossed-off tasks, unread emails, or how “productive”

your day looked on Instagram.I’ve been called lazy too.

By people who never once sat still long enough to hear the sound of their own

breath. By people who mistake presence for passivity.

By people who equate movement with meaning.

But I’ve also learned this:

Nothingness is not the absence of value.

It’s the return to your essence.

It’s where I gather myself.

It’s where I create, daydream, unravel, heal.

It’s where I sit with my shadows without needing to fix anything.

I’m not saying life stops.

I’m just saying you can.

And that in itself is a radical act of self-love.

Some days I’m fire — running, building, creating, doing.

Other days, I am water — soft, slow, unbothered, being.

And some days? I’m just a puddle of I-don’t-know-what-I-am — And that’s perfectly valid too.

So if no one’s told you this recently:

You are allowed to do less.

You are allowed to opt out.

You are allowed to protect your peace like your life depends on it — because

sometimes, it does.

Whether you’re a woman who’s always expected to be “on” … or a man quietly

collapsing under silent expectations… or someone who doesn’t fit in any box at all…

You are not lazy. You are human.

And in a world that constantly asks us to perform, nothingness is your protest.

Your poetry.

Your power.

So close your laptop. Let the dishes wait. Put your phone down.

And give yourself permission to rest — not after everything’s done, but just because

you exist.

With all my heart (and my undone to-do list).
